Wendy’s revealed on Wednesday its partnership with Paramount to mark the 25th anniversary of ‘SpongeBob SquarePants’ by launching the ‘Krabby Patty Kollab.’
This ‘Kollab’ introduces two special menu items that will be available at Wendy’s locations nationwide for a limited period:
- Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty: A vanilla Frosty swirled with pineapple mango puree — an unprecedented Frosty flavor innovation.
- Krabby Patty Kollab Burger: This burger is Wendy’s take on the iconic cartoon burger, featuring a quarter pound of beef, two slices of gooey American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion, and a “top-secret Krabby Kollab sauce” served on a toasted bun.
Both new menu items will be available across the U.S., Canada, and Guam starting Tuesday, Oct. 8, as stated in a news release from Wendy’s. Additionally, customers in Los Angeles can experience an exclusive early taste of the Krabby Patty Kollab Meal on Monday, Oct. 7 and Tuesday, Oct. 8 at a unique Wendy’s drive-thru setup in Panorama City, according to Wendy’s.
“It makes perfect sense for two of pop culture’s most beloved squares to collaborate and present this special, limited-time experience for fans of all ages!” stated Lindsay Radkoski, U.S. Chief Marketing Officer for The Wendy’s Company, in the announcement.
According to the news release, “The Krabby Patty Kollab” initiative aims to bring food items inspired by the Krabby Patty from ‘SpongeBob SquarePants’ to menus for the first time ever. The animated series originally aired on Nickelodeon in 1999.
“‘The Krabby Patty Kollab’ represents another creative approach to enhance the landmark 25th anniversary celebration of ‘SpongeBob SquarePants,’ bringing Bikini Bottom to life like never before,” expressed Dario Spina, CMO of Paramount Brand Studio, in the announcement.
