Why Many Voters Believe Trump Should Face Charges Regardless of Election Outcome

A significant portion of Americans think it would be inappropriate for the Justice Department to drop federal charges against Donald Trump if he returns to the White House, according to a new YSL News/Suffolk University Poll.

Experts indicate that it is unlikely a Trump-led Justice Department would carry on with the two federal cases he has labeled as a “witch hunt” by a “deranged” prosecutor. Approximately 58% of likely voters surveyed believe it would be “wrong” for Trump to direct the department to dismiss the charges, while only 30% think it would be the “right” action. Almost 10% of respondents were unsure.
