Boozer Legacy Continues: Twin Brothers Cameron and Cayden Commit to Duke Basketball

Twin Brothers Cameron and Cayden Boozer Choose Duke Basketball, Following in Their Father’s Footsteps

Cameron and Cayden Boozer are following the same collegiate journey as their father, a former national champion.

The Boozer twins, who are the sons of former NBA star Carlos Boozer, took to social media on Friday to declare their commitment to attend Duke University and play basketball under coach Jon Scheyer.

Cameron Boozer, standing at 6 feet 9 inches, is rated as the second-best prospect in the 2025 recruiting class according to the 247 Sports Composite rankings. NBA scouts have long viewed him as a potential top-five pick in the draft. His twin brother Cayden, who is 6 feet 4 inches and plays point guard, ranks among the top-25 recruits in his class, with prospects of landing in the lottery for the 2026 NBA draft.

The brothers reportedly chose Duke over their local school, Miami.

Carlos Boozer played three seasons at Duke under legendary coach Mike Krzyzewski from 1999 to 2002, amassing over 1,500 points. He was a key player in Duke’s 2001 national championship victory and enjoyed a successful 13-year NBA career with four different teams.

The Boozers have had an impressive high school career, winning state titles at Christopher Columbus High School in Miami and clinching Nike EYBL championships with their AAU team in Florida over the past three years. They have also earned gold medals playing for USA Basketball across two different age groups.

This commitment adds to Duke’s recent success in recruiting. The Blue Devils are set to start this season with a roster that includes Cooper Flagg, projected as the top pick in the 2025 NBA draft. The Boozer twins are slated to join the basketball program for the 2025-26 season.

“Cameron Crazies, be prepared for next season,” Cayden Boozer stated confidently into the camera as he and Cameron donned Duke jackets in a social media video announcing their choice.
