Chilean Sea Bass Goldfish Crackers Fly Off the Shelves in First Release: ‘Sold Out!’

‘Chilean Sea Bass’ Goldfish Crackers are completely sold out after launch: ‘Gone for today!’

If you’re looking to buy “Chilean Sea Bass Crackers,” you might have to wait a bit longer.

Goldfish has made headlines by temporarily rebranding its snacks to attract adult customers. And it seems to have worked!

The special edition crackers were priced at $7.38 for two bags and went on sale online Wednesday. By Thursday morning, they were completely sold out.

The website stated, “Sorry, all gone for today! Make sure to check back tomorrow at 9 am EST for more Chilean Sea Bass.”

You can get the Chilean Sea Bass Crackers at ChileanSeaBassCrackers.com. The brand indicated that “new inventory drops” will occur until October 30.

Goldfish snacks are not just for kids, according to the company

While the rebranding targets Millennial and Gen Z consumers, Goldfish emphasizes that their snacks are loved by all ages.

“We recognize that Goldfish fans are of all ages,” said Danielle Brown, the Goldfish vice president, in a news statement. “Chilean Sea Bass is a fun way to remind adults that our iconic fish-shaped crackers are appealing to mature palates as well.”

Goldfish has previously attempted to attract adult consumers

The brand has recently launched limited edition flavors aimed at adult consumers.

One such flavor is the Goldfish OLD BAY Seasoned Crackers, which incorporates 18 spices and herbs to complement seafood and various dishes.

In 2021, Goldfish also rolled out Goldfish Frank’s RedHot Crackers in collaboration with the Pepperidge Farm brand. This version features ingredients typical of hot sauce, including vinegar and aged cayenne peppers.

“The number one requested flavor for Goldfish was hot and spicy,” noted Campbell Snacks’ chief marketing officer Janda Lukin in a previous interview with YSL News. “This flavor caters to a mature audience who wanted and can handle the heat.”
