Engineers Revolutionize CO2 Conversion: Turning Emissions into Valuable Resources

A new electrode design developed at MIT boosts the efficiency of electrochemical reactions that turn carbon dioxide into ethylene and other products. As the world struggles to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, researchers are seeking practical, economical ways to capture carbon dioxide and convert it into useful products, such as transportation fuels, chemical feedstocks, or even

Cowboys Face Another Disastrous Loss at Home Against Lions

This unfortunate reality continued for the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, suffering another heavy defeat at AT&T Stadium.

Despite it being Cowboys owner Jerry Jones’ birthday, the Detroit Lions extinguished the celebratory mood by dominating the game before halftime.

The final score of 47-9 did not reflect a joyful game for the Lions, especially after their star defensive end, Aidan Hutchinson, had to be carted off in the third quarter due to a serious leg injury.

However, whether or not Hutchinson was on the field, the Lions showcased their prowess, delivering yet another tough loss for Dallas at home. This marks the fourth consecutive game that the Cowboys have lost on their own field, dating back to last year’s NFC playoffs, with a staggering total of 167 points given up over these games.

To make matters worse, the Cowboys hardly put up any resistance.

In Week 3, they were down 28-6 against the Baltimore Ravens but managed to narrow the gap to 28-25, while still allowing an alarming 274 rushing yards.

Just a week earlier, they faced a crushing 44-19 defeat, where the New Orleans Saints scored touchdowns on their first six drives.

Even in the first round of the NFC playoffs back in January, the Green Bay Packers scored five straight touchdowns, leading to a 48-32 loss for Dallas.

This Sunday, the Cowboys (3-3) couldn’t manage to score a single touchdown, while their already thin defense, lacking key players like Micah Parsons, DeMarcus Lawrence, and DaRond Bland, gave up 492 yards in a dismal performance.

Ironically, the last team the Cowboys managed to defeat at home was the Lions, under controversial circumstances where a potential touchdown was ruled out due to an administrative error regarding a tackle-eligible play involving Dan Skipper.

But times have changed.

This time, the Lions came out on top as Jared Goff threw for 315 yards and three touchdowns, while David Montgomery added 80 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, with safety Brian Branch intercepting Dak Prescott twice.

On a slightly positive note for the Cowboys, they won’t face defeat next week.

The Cowboys have a bye during Week 7, and after that, they won’t return to their home ground until Week 10.
