Following the success of its $5 Meal Deal during a time of rising food costs in the U.S., McDonald’s is introducing a new affordable dining option named McValue.

Starting January 7, McDonald’s will roll out its McValue menu packed with choices for customers keen on saving some money, as announced in a press release on Friday.

The company shared, “Prepare for a new year, new menu.”

The McValue platform will feature the $5 Meal Deal, which was initially offered as a limited-time promotion. Due to its high demand, it has now been extended. Additionally, the McValue menu will introduce a new option called Buy One, Add One for $1 on select popular items, such as the Sausage McMuffin and Double Cheeseburger.

Joe Erlinger, president of McDonald’s USA, emphasized in a statement, “Value means different things to different people. We’ve collaborated with our franchisees to build a platform that allows customers to define what value looks like for them. Whether it’s deals on their favorite items or popular options like the $5 Meal Deal, we’re thrilled to offer more savings each time customers visit.”

Buy One, Add One for $1

With the McValue menu, customers can purchase one full-price item and add another for just $1, the fast-food giant stated.

• Sausage Burrito
• Hash Browns

Lunch and Dinner:

• Six-piece Chicken McNuggets
• Double Cheeseburger
• McChicken

$5 Meal Deal

If you enjoyed the $5 Meal Deal, McDonald’s has confirmed that it will continue until at least next summer.

Here’s what the $5 Meal Deal includes:

• McDouble or McChicken
• Small fries
• Four-piece Chicken McNuggets
• Small soft drink

In-app purchase deals

Another feature of the McValue program will be in-app deals that differ by location, like receiving a large order of French fries for free with a minimum $1 purchase when you access the app.
