The Season 50 premiere of “Saturday Night Live” is scheduled for September 28.

American actress and comedian Jean Smart, known for her role in “Hacks,” is set to host the inaugural episode of the season.

Joining her will be Grammy-nominated artist Jelly Roll as the musical guest.
