Jeep Dramatically Cuts Prices for the 2025 Grand Cherokee

Jeep reduces 2025 Grand Cherokee prices

Jeep has been facing some challenges recently, including a decline in sales and market share, even as SUV demand remains strong. High pricing is believed to be a contributing factor, and the company has been working on this issue. After lowering prices for the Compass model and introducing more affordable options for the Grand Cherokee last year, Jeep is taking further steps. For 2025, they are lowering the prices of both the two-row Grand Cherokee and the three-row Grand Cherokee L, making them more competitively priced in the midsize SUV segment.

Currently, it looks like the only model without a price cut is the base Grand Cherokee Laredo A. This basic version is limited in color options and only available as a rear-wheel drive two-row vehicle; four-wheel drive and the three-row L configuration are not available, which is why it exists primarily to help Jeep meet their pricing strategy under $40,000. The Laredo A remains priced at $38,290 including destination charges, but it seems unlikely many buyers will opt for it now that the 2025 Grand Cherokee Laredo (the standard model) has dropped in price by $1,000 to $38,830 for a two-row, rear-wheel drive version. To get four-wheel drive or the three-row L model will cost extra. This $1,000 reduction is also applied to the Grand Cherokee Laredo X, Altitude, and Altitude X trims for 2025.

Additionally, Jeep is making more significant price reductions on the higher trims of the Grand Cherokee. They’ve slashed $3,000 off the price of midlevel Grand Cherokee Limited models, and a larger $4,000 reduction on the Overland, Summit, and Summit Reserve trims. The three-row L models still add $2,000 to the price, except for the Laredo X which sees only an $1,800 increase for the three-row version. Furthermore, four-wheel drive options add another $2,000 to the price for the Laredos, Altitude, and Limited trims (the Overland and Summit models already come with four-wheel drive as standard). All gas-powered 2025 Grand Cherokees feature a 3.6-liter V-6 engine with 293 horsepower; the 5.7-liter V-8 option has been quietly phased out recently.

2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe pricing

There are no price changes for the 2025 Grand Cherokee 4xe plug-in hybrid models, which come in Limited, off-road Trailhawk, Overland, Summit, and Summit Reserve configurations. All 4xe models share a 375-hp gas-electric powertrain that combines a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with an electric motor, allowing for up to 25 miles of electric-only driving range per charge and an estimated 56 mpg-e, and a total range of 470 miles.

The recent price cuts for various Grand Cherokee models are a welcome tactic to make the lineup more accessible, especially since higher-end models had previously reached prices rivaling luxury brands like BMW.
