Jelly Roll’s Inspiring Transformation: Shedding 100 Pounds and a New Look Awaits!

Jelly Roll has dropped 100 lbs: ‘You won’t recognize me’ by next year

Jelly Roll is thrilled about losing 100 pounds as part of his journey toward better health through better eating habits and physical activity.

Earlier this week, the country music star celebrated his weight loss achievement in an Instagram video.

“That’s why when you see me next year, you won’t even recognize me,” he mentioned in the video. “I’m going to really push myself in the gym like never before.”

In the video, Jelly Roll’s personal chef, Ian Larios, shared that the artist lost 100 pounds by choosing healthier snacks before his performances, like bananas drizzled with manuka honey and dark chocolate sweetened with stevia. He also engaged in various forms of exercise, including basketball, boxing, and walking around venues before his shows on the Beautifully Broken Tour.

Chef Larios explained that Jelly Roll’s eating plan consists of high-protein meals after shows. This means he prepares healthier renditions of his favorite dishes, like Nashville hot chicken and French fries. For example, he made air-fried fries using bone broth to boost protein and cut back on fat, eliminating the oil and batter typically used in the dish.

The video concluded with Jelly Roll, who is currently midway through his tour, declaring that by the time he meets fans “in March for Canada, y’all won’t recognize me.”

Back in April, Jelly Roll revealed to People that he had shed “70-something pounds” while training for a 5K event.

“I walk two to three miles every day, four to six times a week,” he said at that time. “I spend 20 to 30 minutes in the sauna and do a six-minute cold plunge daily. My diet is pretty healthy right now.” He mentioned feeling “really good” and expressed ambition to lose “another 100 pounds or so.”

By May, after losing 70 pounds, the Grammy-nominated country singer successfully completed the 5K race in California, an event organized by comedians Bert Kreischer and Tom Segura.

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight at the race, Jelly Roll admitted he felt “really emotional” as he crossed the finish line.

“I couldn’t walk a mile when I started this back in January,” the “Need a Favor” singer recalled, expressing immense pride in his accomplishment. “I left here feeling incredibly motivated.” Jelly Roll also shared with ET his plans to enter a half marathon in 2025.
