Lana Del Rey and her boyfriend, who is rumored to be an alligator tour guide, are preparing for their wedding.

The singer of “Young And Beautiful,” along with Jeremy Dufrene, an airboat captain from Louisiana, acquired a marriage license from the Lafourche Parish Clerk of Courts office on September 23, according to YSL News. The license has yet to be submitted back.

The “Tough” artist and Dufrene, who is employed by Arthur’s Air Boat Tours, have been friends since 2019.

In March 2019, she shared a series of photos on Facebook with the caption, “Jeremy lemme be captain at Arthur’s Air Boat Tours,” featuring her making a peace sign while he donned camouflage attire. Earlier this May, she tagged Dufrene in an Instagram post alongside her brother and sister, stating “family w my guy @jeffrey.dufrene.” Dufrene was not present in the photo.

An August TikTok video captured what seemed to be the couple holding hands at the Reading and Leeds music festival in England. This month, they were also photographed by paparazzi after attending a wedding in New York City.

According to Dufrene’s biography on the airboat tours’ website, he “realized that working at a chemical plant seven days a week and shrimping during his vacations wasn’t for him. After some persuasion from his family, he obtained his captain’s license and began leading tours.”

Dufrene, who the website referred to as a “great boat captain,” regarded the job as “a perfect match” for him, stating he “never considered going back to his former job at the plant.”

Last year, Del Rey spoke candidly about a previous romance, mentioning her ex-partner’s arrogance and his dislike for her home as factors in their split.

In a Harper’s Bazaar cover interview published in November 2023, the “Say Yes to Heaven” artist discussed how the lack of extravagance in her home serves as an “unintentional” test for her relationships, revealing that her former boyfriend was one of those who did not appreciate it.

“They didn’t understand it,” Del Rey explained to the magazine. “That one took me by surprise. I won’t name names or whatever, but that truly shocked me, that person. That was the turning point in that relationship.”
