Landon Barker Reflects on His Experience at the Diddy-Inspired Birthday Bash: “It Was a Messy Situation”

Landon Barker speaks out about the Diddy-themed birthday party he attended: ‘Not a good situation’

Landon Barker is expressing regret over his attendance at a birthday party themed around Sean “Diddy” Combs.

On Tuesday, the artist known for “Friends With Your Ex” posted a TikTok video refuting claims that he was the host of a party for his 21st birthday, which occurred on October 9. “I want to clarify and apologize for the statements suggesting I had a whole themed birthday party,” said Barker, who is the son of Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and TV host Shanna Moakler.

“To begin with, I didn’t have a birthday party. My actual birthday celebration is next week.”

Barker explained that he and his family, along with a friend, went to Nobu, a popular spot among celebrities, to mark his birthday and were later invited to another party. He mentioned that a promoter for the event offered them “a table and a bottle” to ensure their enjoyment.

Barker discussed why he didn’t leave the party when he learned about the unusual bottle service that featured baby oil, which was linked to federal investigations where over 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant were confiscated from Combs’ properties. He asserted that he was “unaware of the situation at first.”

“The atmosphere was dim, and all I could notice was another table where they were bringing out bottles with lights,” he explained. “I thought they were just serving tequila, so I was completely oblivious to what was happening.”

It wasn’t until the bottle service came to his table that Barker understood the context. He clarified that he “didn’t touch the bottle” and “did not approve of it,” emphasizing that he “just wanted to celebrate my birthday and ended up in a negative scenario.”

In his TikTok caption, he expressed, “I apologize to everyone I may have hurt — this wasn’t my plan, and I never meant for this to happen.”

In another TikTok post, Barker shared his annoyance over rumors that he asked his friends to wear all-white for the occasion — a nod to Combs’ renowned all-white parties.

“This is the attire my friends wore to my birthday,” Barker remarked, displaying photos from his celebration. “For many people, formal dress means a white top and black pants. It was like a nice dinner setting. Everyone just removed their jackets.”

Combs’ legal issues became prominent in September when he was arrested and faced charges for racketeering, sexual trafficking, and transporting individuals for prostitution.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York announced these charges in an indictment made public on September 17, the day after his arrest. Despite a proposed bail of $50 million, Combs was ordered to remain in custody at the Special Housing Unit in Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center until his trial on May 5, a decision that his legal team is contesting in the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.

The criminal allegations surfaced less than a year after Combs’ former girlfriend, singer Casandra “Cassie” Ventura, accused him of rape, sexual trafficking, and physical abuse in November 2023. This lawsuit led to numerous civil suits against him, echoing allegations of rape and sexual assault similar to those outlined in the indictment unveiled by investigators on September 17.
