‘YEEEAHHH’: Lil Jon Surprises Georgia Delegates During DNC Roll Call

During the Democratic National Convention’s delegate roll call on Tuesday, Georgia received an unexpected guest: Lil Jon.

At the convention, each state was introduced by a DJ before announcing their delegates’ votes, despite the formal nomination process being complete. When it was Georgia’s turn, cameras zoomed in on Lil Jon standing on the stairs of the United Center in Chicago.

“YEEEEEEEAHHHH!” shouted the rapper from Atlanta as “Turn Down for What” blasted through the speakers.

“Ladies and gentlemen, we are here to officially nominate Kamala Harris for president!” he declared, pumping up the crowd with his energetic presence. The cameras then followed him to the Georgia delegation where he rallied with “We’re not going back!”

Then the music switched to “Get Low,” and Lil Jon cleverly mixed in a popular meme by changing “walls” in the lyrics to refer to Vice President nominee Gov. Tim Walz.
