Pink and Daughter Willow Shine in Heartfelt Acoustic Performance at DNC
Pink turned the Democratic National Convention into a memorable bonding experience with her daughter.
On the last night of the 2024 DNC, the renowned pop artist swapped her flashy Summer Carnival Tour style for an intimate performance alongside her 13-year-old daughter, Willow Sage Hart.
Dressed in matching black outfits and sporting similar short hairstyles, they teamed up with three other vocalists and a guitarist to deliver a touching acoustic rendition of her 2017 hit “What About Us.”
Pink began the song, gently placing her hand on Willow’s back during the teen’s solo part. The entire group harmonized beautifully on the chorus and bridge.
Pink has two children—Willow and 7-year-old Jameson—with her husband of nearly two decades, Carey Hart. This performance wasn’t the first time she’s graced the stage with her eldest. Willow has been a guest performer during Pink’s world tour over the past year.
When Willow was just 9, she joined her mom to celebrate Pink’s Icon Award at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards, singing in a medley including their duet “Cover Me in Sunshine.” However, Pink shared with YSL News that singing isn’t a passion her daughter wants to pursue.
“It’s not her dream,” Pink remarked in 2021.
“She has dreams of going to the Culinary Institute of America to become a baker in New York, and she even envisions owning an amusement park and possibly a water park. She sends me Zillow listings for apartments near Disneyland. Her mind is on something completely different, which is fascinating about her—she’s unique. She follows her own path and doesn’t take life too seriously.”
The talented singer, who released her ninth studio album “Trustfall” last year, has been touring extensively for over a year. After finishing her European tour, she recently began her North American “homecoming” shows earlier this month.
