Progresso has introduced an innovative way for soup enthusiasts to savor chicken noodle soup during the cold and flu season.

On Thursday, the company announced the launch of Soup Drops, hard candy drops infused with the flavor of chicken noodle soup, resembling a cough drop.

“These tasty drops are being released for a limited period this month in honor of National Soup Month, coinciding with the peak of cold and flu season,” the company shared in a news release.

Progresso describes these drops as “soup you can suck on,” featuring flavors of broth, tasty vegetables, tender egg noodles, and a touch of parsley.

Consumers can purchase Soup Drops exclusively at ProgressoSoupDrops.com, starting on January 16 at 9 a.m. ET, with additional stock made available every Thursday throughout January, while supplies last, according to the news release.

‘Why limit yourself to just a bowl of soup?’

The Soup Drops come in packaging resembling a typical Progresso soup can, containing 20 individually wrapped candies per can. Each order also includes a can of traditional Progresso Chicken Noodle Soup, all priced at $2.49 plus shipping, according to Progresso.
