The Dodgers managed to load the bases once again after a walk from Max Muncy, but Maton managed to induce Kiké Hernández to hit into a double play, minimizing the scoring impact. As the teams head into the seventh, the Mets hold a 6-3 lead.

LOS ANGELES — Sean Manaea had an outstanding performance but will leave the game in a challenging situation.
Despite allowing only one run in five innings, Manaea began the sixth inning with consecutive walks to Mookie Betts and Teoscar Hernandez. Then, Freddie Freeman, battling a significant ankle injury, hit a grounder to second, but Jose Iglesias failed to handle it cleanly, resulting in the bases being loaded.

A member of the team quickly grabbed the snake with a towel to remove it from the area.
Max Muncy Hits a Home Run for the Dodgers
LOS ANGELES — Finally, the Dodgers are on the scoreboard! Max Muncy hit a home run to right field, bringing the game to a 6-1 score after the fifth inning.
This was only the second hit allowed by Manaea, who has achieved seven strikeouts during the game.

LOS ANGELES — Previously, Sean Manaea had struggled when facing the Dodgers, but he has been impressive in this game.

LOS ANGELES — The Mets’ offense is making a statement early in Game 2.
Mark Vientos delivered a grand slam with two outs and the bases loaded, sending a 3-2 pitch soaring to right-center and giving the Mets a significant 6-0 lead in just the second inning. Earlier, Tyrone Taylor hit an RBI double, marking the Mets’ second run of the inning.
Landon Knack allowed the grand slam after stepping in to pitch at the start of the second inning.
Francisco Lindor Starts Game 2 with a Home Run
With the very first pitch of Game 2, Francisco Lindor of the Mets ended the Dodgers’ record-equalling 33-inning scoreless stretch by hitting a solo home run to right field off Ryan Brasier.
The Dodgers had not allowed a run since the second inning of Game 3 against the Padres in the NLDS.
