Who Will Win? Boxing Legends and Experts Weigh In on the Epic Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul Showdown for Netflix

Predictions for Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul: Insights from Experts and Boxing Legends on Netflix Event

In just under two weeks, Mike Tyson and Jake Paul will face off in a boxing match as part of a Netflix event taking place on Friday, Nov. 15, at AT&T Stadium. This matchup raises a unique question that has been ignited since the announcement of this event nearly eight months ago.

The pivotal question is whether the 58-year-old Tyson, who made a return after a health scare last May, can defeat 27-year-old Jake Paul, a YouTube sensation who has established himself as a successful figure in boxing through various exhibition matches. With special fight rules in play and uncertainties surrounding Tyson’s form after four years since his last official fight, opinions on who will win vary widely.

As the fight day draws closer, opinions from boxing analysts, former champions, and previous Tyson opponents are coming in thick and fast regarding the anticipated outcome. Here’s a rundown of who some of these experts believe will triumph in the Tyson vs. Paul clash on Nov. 15, along with the latest odds and viewing information:

Predictions for Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul

Bob Arum, CEO of Top Rank: Paul wins

“A 58-year-old, regardless of their past level of athleticism, is unlikely to perform at a fighting level,” Arum stated in an interview with Johnny Boy Boxing last month. “They can’t throw punches effectively, and physical abilities diminish with age. My concern is for Mike’s safety, but I give him very slim chances. As one ages, muscle memory fades.”

Lennox Lewis: Tyson wins

“Mike Tyson is going to win. He’s not too old. Don’t underestimate him. He and I are only a year apart,” Lewis remarked during an April interview with FOX 29 in Philadelphia. “He can still fare well against someone like Jake, who isn’t a real boxer, and there are countless skills Tyson possesses that Paul has yet to learn.”

Roy Jones Jr.: Tyson has the upper hand

<p)”It’s a classic matchup of a young lion versus an old lion,” Jones explained in a September interview with FightHype. “This situation is beneficial, especially considering Mike’s age. I see it as a valuable chance for both fighters, but I believe Mike is still a bit too formidable for Jake.”

Buster Douglas: Easiest win for Tyson

“This fight doesn’t bode well for Jake,” Douglas stated in a June interview with Gambling Zone. “I foresee very few opportunities left for Paul’s boxing career post-fight. Once Mike takes care of him, it could spell the end for Jake as a fighter. The best-case scenario for Paul is simply to last through the whole match and claim he went the distance with Tyson.”

Sports Betting Dime: Paul by decision

“Should the fight extend into the later rounds, Paul’s youthfulness and stamina will likely play a crucial role,” they noted. “Expect Paul to employ his jab and agility to keep Tyson at bay. The heavier 14-oz gloves and two-minute rounds may exhaust Tyson’s vigor as the fight progresses.”
