Engineers Revolutionize CO2 Conversion: Turning Emissions into Valuable Resources

A new electrode design developed at MIT boosts the efficiency of electrochemical reactions that turn carbon dioxide into ethylene and other products. As the world struggles to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, researchers are seeking practical, economical ways to capture carbon dioxide and convert it into useful products, such as transportation fuels, chemical feedstocks, or even

Kehlani Seeks Protective Order Against Former Partner in Ongoing Custody Struggle

Kehlani seeks restraining order against ex in child custody dispute

Kehlani is taking legal action as she deals with a custody disagreement involving her former partner.

The R&B artist has submitted a temporary restraining order against ex-partner Javaughn Young-White in the Los Angeles County Superior Court on Friday, as per court filings acquired by YSL News on Tuesday.

This new action follows Young-White’s filing of a petition for full custody of their daughter Adeya, born in 2019, two weeks prior.

Under the restraining order, Young-White is prohibited from contacting Kehlani and Adeya through any means, including phone calls and emails. He must also maintain a distance of at least 100 yards from both Kehlani and her daughter, as well as from their home and Adeya’s educational or childcare facility.

Kehlani currently holds both physical and legal custody of Adeya while the order is active.

Commissioner Jeffrey W. Korn, in an associated court order, indicated concerns about potential child abduction based on Young-White’s history of abuse towards Kehlani and his unwillingness to cooperate in co-parenting. However, specifics of the abuse were not detailed in the document.

Consequently, Young-White is not allowed to travel with Adeya out of California, nor can he apply for passports or any travel-related documents. He is also prohibited from possessing or purchasing firearms and ammunition as outlined in the restraining order.

A hearing regarding Kehlani’s request for a restraining order is scheduled for September 3.

Kehlani’s ex claims singer is part of a ‘cult’ in custody petition

In his complaint submitted on July 24, Young-White alleged that the Grammy-nominated artist is part of a cult that “controls her actions and behavior,” particularly regarding how she raises their daughter.

He claimed that he was kept from seeing Adeya for months because the supposed cult leader, Neto, had a vision that Young-White posed a danger to their daughter’s life.

Young-White further asserted that their 5-year-old daughter is sometimes left in the care of cult members while Kehlani is touring.

He sought full custody of Adeya, citing Kehlani’s demanding schedule, her alleged ties to the cult, and her disclosure of having been diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

He also called for a psychological assessment of Kehlani to determine her mental health status.

“I do not want to damage (Kehlani) in any way,” Young-White noted in his filing. “However, the environment she has created is not suitable for a child, and thus I ask the court for guidance to protect my daughter before it’s too late.”

Kehlani reacts to ex’s ‘cult’ accusations

Last week, Kehlani shared a detailed response on her Instagram Stories, firmly denying any allegations that she has endangered her child or left her in the care of unsafe individuals.

Regarding the allegations of cult involvement, Kehlani stated she “does not correlate with any of the allegations concerning my previous spiritual community reported in the media.”

“I have always prioritized protecting my child and ensuring her safety,” Kehlani emphasized. “My child and my dedication to motherhood are my main priorities in life and will always be my focus. This is my identity and what has consistently guided me.”
