Milton’s Impact: Exploring the Aftermath at Tropicana Field, Home of the Tampa Bay Rays

Images document the destruction caused by Milton at Tropicana Field, the Tampa Bay Rays’ home: Check out the damage

Videos and pictures reveal the moment when fierce winds tore through the stadium’s dome, leaving behind a battered structure.

The hurricane winds from Milton were so intense that they actually ripped the roof off Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg.

This domed stadium, home to Major League Baseball’s Tampa Bay Rays, had been set up as a base for numerous emergency responders preparing for the storm’s arrival off Florida’s western coast.

However, as Hurricane Milton intensified to Category 3 and moved across the Florida Peninsula on Wednesday, Tropicana Field was right in the storm’s trajectory. Videos and photos captured the moment when the strong winds damaged the stadium’s roof, alongside images of the remaining wreckage.

Fortunately, there were no reported injuries. A representative from the Rays did not have any further updates when contacted by YSL News Thursday morning.
