Spencer Pratt rejoices as Heidi Montag reaches No. 1 on iTunes following their home fire
Spencer Pratt is encouraging fans to stream Heidi Montag’s music after the tragic loss of their home to the recent wildfires in Los Angeles.
On Friday, Pratt, 41, shared a playful video slideshow on TikTok, standing in front of their charred house while wearing a T-shirt featuring the cover of Montag’s 2009 hit “Body Language.”
“Please listen to any of @heidimontag’s music on any streaming platform; it will make a big difference! Thank you,” he captioned the post, set to the tune of Montag’s 2010 track “Look How I’m Doin.”
It appears his plea was effective, as Montag’s song and her 2010 album “Superficial” climbed to No. 1 on iTunes, more than ten years after their initial release.
Pratt celebrated on Instagram Sunday, poking fun at Bad Bunny, whose album “DebĆ Tirar MĆ”s Fotos” is now sitting at No. 2 on iTunes, while expressing hopes for the Billboard charts as well.
“Who needs a house? Who needs clothes, or anything besides this level of fame and pop stardom?” he exclaimed. “I could care less if this moment fades in minutes. Thank you, everyone. You have no idea how much this means to us.”
The former stars of “The Hills” experienced their home burning during the Pacific Palisades fires in California, and they have openly shared their harrowing experience on social media. Montag, 38, expressed her sorrow in videos, while Pratt took a more stoic approach to their situation.
Initially, Pratt posted a series of clips on Snapchat, noting there was a “fire down the street” and that the “winds were fierce.”
“This isnāt looking good,” he remarked as the flames drew closer.
He filmed himself as he quickly packed up to evacuate, while fierce winds forced over 30,000 people to flee their homes due to the wildfires. He later shared security footage showing the flames engulfing his house’s deck and nursery. The couple has two sons: Gunner, 7, and Ryker, 2.
“Iām watching our house go up in flames through the security camera,” the “Hills” star said in a Snapchat video from his car. In another TikTok, he shared footage of the blaze, stating that his “nightmare had come true.”
On Wednesday morning, Montag, 38, posted an emotional Snapchat video, tearfully expressing her sorrow, saying, “Iām so sad that our house is gone.”
Earlier, during a grocery store visit, Montag confirmed, “Our house did burn down” but reassured that “we’re safe, and that is what matters most.”
