Usher setlist: Discover the songs from his groundbreaking Past Present Future tour
Usher is making his long-awaited comeback to touring.
Following his spectacular Super Bowl halftime performance in February 2024, a show at the Essence Festival in July, and a successful run of 100 shows in Las Vegas, the singer kicked off his tour on August 20 in Washington, D.C., after having to postpone the initial three shows due to a neck injury.
His Past Present Future tour marks his first in eight years, featuring a thrilling two-hour performance where Usher showcases his impressive talent at 45, even more refined than when he burst onto the scene at 25 with his iconic 2004 album “Confessions.” The R&B star smoothly combines numerous hits that fans may not even know he has, along with tracks from his new album, “Coming Home.”
“I’m honoring a legacy: past, present and future. I’ve been in the game long enough to celebrate my music’s journey from the start to this amazing moment I’m experiencing now,” Usher shared with YSL News prior to the tour launch.
As he glides through the different parts of the performance, Usher cleverly utilizes technology to bridge various eras of his career. He presents alternative versions of his life, including a fictional older Usher from 2044 who made different life choices, and even stages a video call with younger versions of himself, showcasing conversations and smiles.
Usher captivates the audience as he seamlessly moves around the stage, dancing, singing, and charming the crowd, which predominantly consists of his fans’ relatives. His fast wardrobe changes reveal a dazzling array of outfits, including eye-catching overcoats, oversized sunglasses, and form-fitting tops, all of which enhance the energy of the show.
