Braga Fresh, located in Soledad, California, has issued a warning regarding the Marketside Broccoli Florets, as stated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
The affected broccoli was distributed to Walmart locations in nearly twenty states, as noted in a notice released by the FDA.
“This product is past its best if used by date and is no longer available in stores, but consumers might have frozen it for future use,” the company mentioned in its voluntary recall statement. “Those who have this product in their freezers should not eat it and should throw it away.”

The recall involves one specific lot of 12-ounce bags of pre-washed and ready-to-eat Marketside Broccoli Florets:

- The UPC number on the back of the bag is 6 81131 32884 5
- The lot code found on the front of the bag is BFFG327A6
Contamination Found During Random Testing in Texas
The recall notice indicates that listeria monocytogenes may be present in the broccoli.
The potential contamination was identified during random testing by Texas Health and Human Services at a retail location in Texas, where samples tested positive for listeria.
So far, no illnesses have been reported linked to this recall.
